On March 25th, we had an AMA with The MoonWalkers Club’s team to talk about their collection.

As you may know, on March 30th, the MoonWalkers Club collection was listed on Liquid Collectibles, so it was a great opportunity to have MoonMission and B_Crypto.Bsc from their team answering questions and bonding with our community on Telegram.

So, without further delay, here you have a summary of how it went.

Knowing The MoonWalkers Club Team and how it was created

MoonMission: I’m MoonMissin, a member of the small group of holders who helped secure the project following the untimely departure of the original development team. He’s honored to be one of 5 signatures on our community DAO fund, along with Roll1er, B_Crypto, CZ GangsterSkulls, and Alexandru. While we did have this core group during the initial stages of securing and stabilizing The MoonWalkers Club, we have become a true community-run project in less than two months. Many community members have come forward with their special skills and talents to assist the project in various ways — a true team effort!

The MoonWalkers Club launched NFT minting on November 24th, 2021, and all 7,777 MWC NFTs were fully minted by Christmas (one month later). Upon minting out the first Gen MWC, the original Dev announced an upcoming token with an included token airdrop for MWC holders. Other roadmap goals per the project included “NFT staking” and a physical launch of an MWC NFT into space that would be filmed and promoted heavily across news outlets & social media.

The announced token launch aimed to reach a soft cap of 300 BNB, and the Dev gave the token launch a very sudden two-week span to successfully promote the token. Unfortunately, upon a rushed and underprepared token promotion, the launch failed after only 80 BNB were contributed by investors. The BNB eventually began to be pulled out by early investors as the token sale quickly became stagnant and silent on the project’s end, and it was clear the soft cap wouldn’t be reached. At this point — all BNB was refunded to investors in the token. The project was then notified via Telegram that the Dev decided to cancel the token launch and promptly needed to go into rehab for a month to address serious issues with addiction.

65 BNB was in a “community wallet” at that time that had been generated by the 7,777 MWC mints, which were expected to be the start of a “DAO fund” for the community (each MWC NFT was said to represent a “vote” in the DAO). As the Dev was announcing the need to leave the project to enter rehab, the community was told that the 65 BNB were moved into “stables” to address the bearish crypto market — but it was soon found this community wallet was transferred into a Binance Hot Wallet that promptly disappeared, along with the Dev.

The project was then at a crossroads, suddenly looking for a new trajectory with zero funds and minimal leadership. However, a group of MoonWalkers Club members scrambled quickly to create a highly dedicated team of backend and frontend help to promptly rebuild the project for the entire community’s future.

So you can see we’ve had a lot of excitement in our brief history!

We had an amazing amount of support from across the entire space. We are so grateful for the assistance and kind wishes.

Part of securing the project was migrating all the NFTs to a new contract. Fab from Rareboard helped us with that contract.

Since then, we have accomplished quite a bit as a community-driven project.

What are the rarest attributes for Moon Walkers Club NFTs?

MoonMission: The art is really unique and amazing!

The rarest MoonWalkers are our 6–1 of 1’s: Snoop Dogg, Elon Musk, CZ Binance, The Scribble (my PFP!), The Eyeball, and Asploded Head (you’ll know it when you see it).

The next rarest are the 20 Aliens, followed by MoonWalkers wearing BTC earrings, Viking Helmets, Safemoon T-shirts, Crowns, and Airpods. Some MWCs even have gold or silver skin, and others are completely transparent.

Along with colorful backgrounds, you may also find MWC in a spaceship or floating in space with the Earth, Moon, or Mars nearby.

Combinations of these traits can come together to result in a very rare MWC!

The detail is really amazing!

Do MWC NFTs have any utilities such as holding rewards, merch, or lottery?

MoonMission: We are working on some utilities, including staking. In addition, Gen2 is in the works, which will benefit Gen1 holders greatly.

We are currently running a lottery where you can mint your ticket for 0.05 BNB.

MWC Lottery System launched with a unique system for generating community wallet funds as well as huge community prizes, with a minting system that increases in price each 200 mints, giving early lotto NFT holders access to all future giveaways (5 rounds of 200 mints have been announced thus far).

We are giving away a Rarity 22 Sumo Alien as the Grand Prize for the first drawing once the 200 tickets sell out. 10 prizes of 0.5 BNB will also be awarded.

We’ve achieved a lot to be proud of in a short time. Here’s some of what our great community has checked off of our preliminary roadmap after securing the project.

- A Multi-Sig wallet was established with 5 of the project’s top holders, stabilizing the community’s funds into a safe & transparent place ✅

- Announced Partnership with the LittleGhosts team, integrating MWC NFTs into their upcoming Play-to-Earn MMO Metaverse Space ✅

- Verified/Listed on Element Marketplace, TofuNFT, GallerNFT, Mintverse — adding to the original NFTKey listing ✅

- Continually holding multiple weekly collaborative giveaways within the BSC NFT community space ✅

- Pancake Swap Listing Applied for ✅

- MWC Discord launch ✅

- Created a brand new website and social media ✅

- Working with Cam Createz on the Gen 2 of MWC as well as in discussions with other artists in the areas of 3D NFTs and alternative MWC-inspired collections ✅

- Established a legitimate & proper DAO for the project, acquiring an ETH domain, followed by the creation of a snapshot account and a legit voting system. ✅

It’s really an amazing community. We are one big family! We have a large number of holders who all went through those rough and uncertain times together. And we’ve come out the other side in great shape! Adding lots of new holders along the way.

We’re very excited about what’s to come! Getting listed with Liquid Collectibles is a big step that we have held in very high importance. Getting the community behind the idea has been easy — and I believe it will be embraced even further once everyone knows the ins and outs of LICO functionality.

Is there any other exciting news you would like to mention?

MoonMission: I wanted to give some extra details about the lottery!

Every 200 tickets sold will trigger a new lot of prizes, each one bigger than the last!

Head to the website to mint your ticket today! https://themoonwc.com/raffle/

- There will be 5 rounds to grab some tickets.

- Price per ticket will increase every 200 tickets

- Every ticket counts for every raffle.

- Winnings getting bigger on every round

Community’s questions

jack Downey: Even though there weren’t that many competitors when you started out, there is a big competition in the market right now, it is very difficult to make a name with only collabs because everyone collabs with everyone; there is a rule in education: constantly emphasizing something and not emphasizing it at all is the same thing. I hope everything goes well, but what if it doesn’t? If not, do you have plan B ready?

MoonMission: Thanks for your question. We are currently on Plan B — the original dev had some big plans, and we hope to cherry-pick some of them, including staking, which is currently being developed by our Tech Lead. To clarify, we are a fully minted collection with a strong community. Taking things one step at a time and trying to build our holder count and DAO fund is our primary focus.

We believe that the BSC NFT space is still in its infancy and that despite the growing number of projects being released, we can build and grow alongside the overall space. The timing is right for this and many other projects to succeed long-term.

Crypto Maniac — Lico $1: Hi everyone! I love these NFTs! Great Art. I have a question: What do you expect from the listing on LICO? Why do you choose LICO for listing?

B_Crypto.Bsc: We chose LICO as listing, as we see it’s a big opportunity to stabilize the floor over time.

People who really are in need of liquidity can choose to pool their NFTs and swap their tokens for instant liquidity.

On the other side, collectors will have the opportunity to choose their favorite ones out of the pool.

We see that Liquid is building something strong in the NFT space, and we wanna be part of it.

NFTs on Binance are still young and need to grow. But as the whole space is building up a huge community, I’m sure that along with projects like Liquid Collectibles, it’s gonna be successful.

John Kent: How do you see the current level of competition in NFT and social marketplace niche? Are you going to have some aggressive marketing in the upcoming future to strengthen your positions in the market?

MoonMission: We hope to leverage our relationship with the artist and his following as we move toward a Gen2 mint, likely on ETH. We know those are some shark-infested waters and understand that aggressive marketing will be necessary, but we feel that getting more eyes on the project via different networks can be key to success.

B_Crypto.Bsc: As MoonMission already explained, we started as a community with zero funds. So together, we are building and trying to move forward.

And as the funds are growing, we continue building around The MoonWalkers Club NFTs.

We got several ideas, like staking, merch, gen2 (maybe on Eth). But always have in mind that everything will be voted by the holders.

Together we decide about the future of our walkers.

John Barnes: I feel that users approach blockchain NFT as an investor rather than NFT enthusiasts, they only join in the early stages and leave when they feel the profits are less. So how does MWC retain users or investors when there are so many new NFT projects coming out every day?

MoonMission: I think this is a question that many of the projects in this space grapple with on a daily basis. I would say that a strong community is extremely helpful in retaining holders, especially in our case, where we discuss new initiatives and hold snapshot votes to blaze our path forward.

B_Crypto.Bsc: Well, we believe that along with the great art we have, the history, and together with our community and the artist on board, we can be one of the growing projects in this space on BNBChain.

There are more and more really good collections coming, and the space matures together.

The strong communities gonna survive. Together as one, the BNBChain NFT community can build something big.
